David M. Gross, Esq.

David has been a partner at the firm since 2018, and his practice is exclusively in divorce and family law, pursuing his client's’ rights in divorce, custody and parenting time, child support, maintenance (alimony), equitable distribution, and other family law matters throughout the Five Boroughs of New York City, Long Island, and Westchester County.

David also handles the firm’s divorce and family law mediation, and is appointed by judges in Queens County and Nassau County to mediate divorce, custody, and support matters.

As both a litigator and trained mediator, David prides himself in taking practical, commonsense approaches to resolving conflicts, pursuing creative solutions to some of the field’s most difficult problems. When appropriate, David explores every possible avenue to help settle a case, moving matters to conclusion expeditiously and with dignity, without sacrificing thoroughness. Although some factors may render settlement impossible and aggressive litigation necessary, at the onset David will typically adopt a conciliatory approach, so long as the litigants and attorneys are forthcoming and acting in good faith.

David is a member of the New York State, Queens County, and Nassau County Bar Associations. Since 2013, David was honored with an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell (the highest rating available) for both legal ability and high ethical standards. Most recently, David was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers and one of the “10 Best Attorneys” by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.

David is honored to lecture to the Queens County Bar Association each year regarding new developments in matrimonial and family appellate case law, and has also lectured on divorce mediation and arbitration.
